STANDING ORDER

To

All adjudicating authorities,

Subject: The setting up of a unit by units under the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005 (Tamil Nadu Act 18 of 2005), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the setting up of a unit by units.

2. The matter has been examined. Every unit carrying on the setting up of a unit shall make an application in Form SEZ-1 to the Director General within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The adjudicating authority shall ensure that foreign exchange is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director General within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
