PRESS NOTE

Subject: The export of goods by exporters under the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963, regarding.

1. The Central Government has reviewed the policy on the export of goods and has decided as follows.

2. Every exporter carrying on the export of goods may do so subject to the conditions set out in the annexure, and the Central Government shall be informed in Form SEZ-1 within one hundred and eighty days.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the export of goods is undertaken, and the Central Government shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this press note may be brought to the notice of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
