New Delhi, dated the 25th February, 2006

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The possession of land by persons in possession of land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the possession of land by persons in possession of land is to be regulated under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 1 to the State Government within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the possession of land is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
