Recital: "Promulgated by the Governor in the Seventy-fourth Year of the Republic of India. An Ordinance further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005). WHEREAS the Legislature of Uttar Pradesh is not in session and the Governor is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 213 of the Constitution, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance: This Ordinance shall cease to operate at the expiration of six weeks from the reassembly of the Legislature of the State, as clause (2) of article 213 of the Constitution provides.".
