References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the tapping of toddy by toddy tappers.\n2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form D to the Excise Commissioner within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.\n3. The Assistant Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that consignment is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Commissioner within seven days.\n4.
