References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat.\n2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall make an application in Form 5 to the Panchayat Samiti within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.\n3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Panchayat Samiti within ninety days.\n4.
