References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat.\n2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall make an application in Form 7 to the Block Development Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.\n3. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad shall ensure that tax receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Block Development Officer within seven days.\n4.
