References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land.\n2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Settlement Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.\n3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that certificate of occupancy is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Settlement Officer within thirty days.\n4.
