References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the possession of land by persons in possession of land.\n2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 8 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.\n3. The Patwari shall ensure that khasra is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days.\n4.
