References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling.\n2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall make an application in Form 1 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.\n3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that demand notice is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Revenue Divisional Officer within sixty days.\n4.
